A set of general markings for a 1:32 model of the Mitchell. Propeller lettering and warning stripes in two forms, walkway stripes, two versions of the star with rectangles, tank lettering and data placards with spare numerals.
Responsibility details are not available.
The North American B-25 was named after General Billy Mitchell, a vocal champion of an independent air force, and it entered history in April 1942, when sixteen of these machines took off from the aircraft carrier Hornet for the raid on Tokyo. Series production then ran until the end of the war and Mitchells appeared in every theater, from the Aleutian Islands to the Burmese jungle.
The focus is on general markings, that is, on the part of the equipment that usually falls shortest with kits. The lettering for the propellers comes in two forms, and so do the warning stripes for the blades, and with them is enclosed a plain variant without printing in case you spray the blades yourself. Then come black walkway stripes of a width matching two inches, the two most used forms of the star with side rectangles, two sets of lettering for the filler ports and two markings for the emergency exit. The three general data placards come with spare numerals from which you assemble the details for your own machine.
Because these are not the markings of one particular machine, the manufacturer does not limit their use. The same elements, according to its details, also suit the Flying Fortress, the Martin B-26 Marauder and the Northrop P-61 night fighter. The spare numerals extend this versatility further, because you assemble the serial number according to the subject you are building.
What is for sale is only the printed sheet, with no plastic parts and no paints.
