A set of photo-etched parts in 1:32 scale for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 kit from Kotare.
Responsibility details are not available.
Photo-etched parts in 1:32 scale intended for the Bf 109 K-4 kit from Kotare. The accessory does not replace the kit but sharpens it where a plastic part cannot be thin enough: metal sheet holds its shape even in tenths of a millimeter, so edges, grilles and belts look considerably more faithful once the model is finished.
The Bf 109 K-4 was the last production version of the German Bf 109 fighter and went into combat at the end of the Second World War. In 1:32 scale the model is big enough for work with photo-etched parts to really show on it.
Cut the parts off the fret with sharp scissors or a blade on a hard surface; never break them out. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades, so that the edge is sharp and straight. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or with epoxy; cement for plastic models has no effect on metal. Before painting, degrease the surface and lay down a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth metal. The procedure and the placement of the individual parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set is for modelers who already have building experience and want to get the most out of a large scale. Working with photo-etched parts calls for tweezers, a sharp blade and patience, but the reward is detail that plastic cannot manage. Unless stated otherwise, the kit, paints and glue are not part of the package.
