A masking set for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 and E-7 in 1:32 scale, cut for the Dragon kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 109E-4 is a later form of the Emil from the summer of 1940, by which time the machine had revised armament in the wing and better protection for the pilot. The E-7 version added a pylon under the fuselage on which a drop tank or a bomb could be hung; only with that did the Emil improve its range and widen its range of tasks. Both forms have an angular canopy with dense framing, which on a model in a large scale is the first thing anyone notices.
Pre-cut masks for a model of the Bf 109E-4 and E-7 in 1:32 scale, cut for the Dragon kit. You therefore do not have to cut the shapes of the frames laboriously out of adhesive tape, which with the Emil means a great many small pieces on a single canopy. The extent of the coverage and the recommended order of steps are given in the manufacturer's instructions; go through them before you start spraying.
Apply the masks before spraying onto a clean, degreased and completely dry part. Press them down all round with a blunt tool, not with a fingernail, so that you do not scratch the glass. Lay the paint on in several thin coats and let it set in between; a heavy coat will creep under and the edge of the frame will run. Lift the mask off with tweezers at a sharp angle before the finish has fully cured. Wipe any adhesive residue away dry; solvents have no place on glazing.
For modelers who build the Emil in a large scale and want glazing with no ragged edges, and also for those who have masked with tape until now and want to save time. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
