Eduard 1:32 Bf-109G-2/4 TFace is a set of self-adhesive masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing of a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-2 and G-4. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:32 scale for a model of the Bf 109 in the G-2 and G-4 versions. The TFace designation means that the sheet contains masks for both sides of the glazing, the outer and the inner. You can thus paint the canopy framing from inside in the interior shade and from outside in the camouflage shade, which with the canopy open is immediately visible. The set is an accessory for a kit; the model and the paints are not in the box.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G series was the most numerous development branch of this single-seat fighter. It was given a Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and a modified cowling. The G-2 and G-4 versions were almost identical outwardly and can be told apart above all by equipment, mainly the radio. The framing of the canopy with its prominent edges is a typical recognition feature of this type and in the large 1:32 scale it is one of the first details to catch the eye on a finished model.
Wash and degrease the glazing first. Apply the inner masks first and spray the interior shade of the framing; once it is dry, the outer parts and the top color follow. Always press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a wooden stick, because paint runs under an edge that has not been stuck down properly and that is hard to put right. Fill in the continuous areas between the frames with masking tape or masking fluid. Spray in thin coats and take the mask off right after the paint has flashed off, with a pull at an acute angle, ideally lifted with the tip of a scalpel.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
