B-17G - radio operator's compartment, colored 3D interior 1:32 is a set of raised detail for the radio operator's compartment on a decal backing paper for models of this American bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings colored, three-dimensionally raised detail of the radio operator's compartment for models of the B-17G Flying Fortress heavy bomber in 1:32 scale. These are 3D decals printed on a decal backing paper, neither photo-etch nor cast resin. The radio set panels, the instruments and other items have recessed dials, raised controls and colored markings.
The B-17G was the most widespread version of the legendary four-engine bomber, with a chin turret and heavy defensive armament. The radio operator's compartment behind the bomb bay was one of the key crew stations and rendering it in detail brings a large model markedly to life.
Run a gloss coat over the surface under the decal (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22) and let it dry. Cut the part out, soak it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on the gloss coat; on broken shapes a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, they would attack the printed resin. Build the layers up in the order given in the instructions.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
