A kit of the American Curtiss JN-4D Jenny training biplane in 1:32 scale, the edition designated with the PREMIUM label.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Curtiss JN-4 with the nickname Jenny is the machine on which most American and Canadian pilots learned to fly during the First World War. The two-seat biplane with dual controls was slow enough and forgiving enough for a pupil to survive his own mistakes. It was powered by a water-cooled Curtiss eight-cylinder vee engine. The JN-4D version was the most numerous of the whole family and became its typical form.
After the war hundreds of Jennys were sold off from surplus for a fraction of their original cost, and their most famous era began. They flew from field to field, carried the curious on sightseeing flights and served stunt performers, who used them to demonstrate wing walking. For a whole generation of Americans the Jenny was the first aircraft they had ever seen close up.
The PREMIUM label sets this edition apart from the other editions of the same type. What exactly the package holds and which markings it offers are stated in the manufacturer's instructions; look into them before you choose between the editions.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and polish the surface by sanding, and wash and degrease it before painting. Assemble the airframe dry first. The Jenny has a great deal of exposed structure, so it pays to paint the inside of the fuselage first and only then to close it up. Leave the rigging and the bracing between the struts until the end. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
