Eduard 1:32 Curtiss P-40N Kittyhawk exterior — a photo-etched set of exterior details of the airframe for the model of the P-40N in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of photo-etched parts from Czech Eduard concentrates on the external details of the model of the Curtiss P-40N Kittyhawk in 1:32 scale. The fine photo-etched parts refine the surface features of the airframe that can only be done in a simplified way in plastic, typically small fittings, grilles, covers and details of the landing gear. In the large 1:32 scale it is exactly these small things that are seen at first glance and that decide the overall impression a model makes.
The Curtiss P-40N was the peak production version of the well known American fighter of the Second World War. Its characteristic shark-like nose radiator, rugged landing gear and practical design made it a reliable machine fighting from the Pacific to the Mediterranean, with American units and with Allied air forces alike.
Exterior parts tend to be very fine, so work with tweezers with sharp points and separate the parts on a hard surface. Flat parts need only be stuck down with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue, while shaped ones should be tried dry first. Before painting, degrease the whole and give it a primer so that paint holds on the metal parts as well.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
