Curtiss P-40N Kittyhawk TFace — a masking set 1:32 from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains double-sided TFace masks for spraying the frames of the canopy from the outside and the inside.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of the TFace range in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model of an aircraft but a masking accessory: the TFace range contains masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing, so you spray the frames of the canopy from both sides. You will appreciate that above all in the large 1:32 scale, where the inside of the cockpit is clearly visible and unpainted inner frames look out of place.
The Curtiss P-40N was the last production version of the famous American P-40 fighter, known with British and Allied units under the name Kittyhawk. A lightened airframe and a higher performing Allison engine made it the fastest variant of the series; it served above all in the Pacific, China and the Mediterranean. The multi-part framed canopy of the P-40 is rather laborious to mask, and precisely cut masks save a great deal of time here.
Stick the masks onto a clean and degreased surface and press the edges down with a toothpick. Apply the inner masks before gluing the canopy to the fuselage, and the outer ones at any time before spraying the camouflage. Spray thin coats so that paint does not run underneath, and remove the films shortly after they have dried. The flexible kabuki type film comes away cleanly and leaves no adhesive behind.
The set contains only the masking films; the model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package.
