A turned metal detail part that replaces the plastic pitot tube on the nose of a model of the Mirage III in 1:32 scale. The set is supplied with an adapter for the Italeri kit, which makes accurate seating of the part in the model easier. The metal build captures the thin forward sensor faithfully and is markedly tougher than plastic.
The Dassault Mirage III was a French supersonic fighter with a delta wing. It was built from the end of the 1950s and served in a number of countries around the world. The long forward sensor is one of its recognition details.
Cut off the original plastic sensor, seat the enclosed adapter and the metal part in a drilled hole and secure them with cyanoacrylate. The part is strong and stands up to being painted together with the model.
This is a detail part, not a model of the aircraft. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
