Dewoitine D.510 1:32 from Dora Wings — an injection-molded plastic kit of the more powerful version of the French prewar fighter with a cannon firing through the propeller hub, with photo-etched parts and masks.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French prewar Dewoitine D.510 fighter in the large 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian brand Dora Wings. It is a short-run tooling supplemented with photo-etched parts and painting masks. The large scale shows the elegant slim lines of this all-metal monoplane beautifully.
The Dewoitine D.510 was the top and most powerful development stage of the D.500 family — French all-metal monoplane fighters of the 1930s with an open cockpit and fixed (non-retractable) landing gear with spatted wheels. Compared with the basic Dewoitine D.500 version, the D.510 received a more powerful Hispano-Suiza 12Ycrs engine and a main weapon in the form of a 20 mm cannon firing through the propeller hub. Dora Wings offers the basic D.500 version (with Cartograf decals) as a separate kit.
With short-run kits, always dry-fit the parts before gluing and align them carefully. Assemble and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage — it will be clearly visible through the open canopy. Mask the glazing with the masks enclosed. Separate the parts with a sharp knife, glue the plastic with thin liquid cement and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer and spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats; emphasize the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
