This is neither a kit nor a resin set but a set of details printed three-dimensionally straight onto decal paper. The parts have a real relief - buttons, levers, belt buckles and instrument bezels stand out above the surface - and yet they are applied with water like any other decal. The set comes finished in color, so painting the small controls with a brush is not needed.
A decal is only as good as the surface under it. So finish the cockpit conventionally first: prime it, spray the interior color and smooth the surface out. On a matte and broken surface air stays under the decal and silvering appears; on a smooth gloss coat the decal beds down without bubbles. The sequence is therefore primer, color, gloss coat, decal and finally a matte coat that evens everything out. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, and press the part down with a cotton swab from the center outwards so that the relief stays crisp. Before buying, check that the set matches your kit of this type in 1:32 scale - sets of this kind are shaped for one particular cockpit.
For modelers who want a well rendered interior without working with photo-etch, and for builders in large scales, where an open cockpit is very much on show.
