According to the name it deals with the outer as well as the inner side of the glazing. Masks for the national insignia are not part of this variant; it is a canopy-only set. It is neither a model nor a part of one but an accessory for painting a kit, from the maker Montex.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine attack aircraft from the end of the Second World War. The A-26B version differed from the later variant with the glazed nose in having a solid nose with gun armament. For its category it was fast and, thanks to its robust design, it served for a number of years after the war. The glazed areas of the pilot's cockpit have fairly dense framing, so freehand painting on this type is slow and rarely comes out cleanly.
Degrease the glazing in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let it dry freely. Lift the mask out of the sheet with a sharp point or with tweezers, seat it dry and then press the edges down with a soft tool, so that no bubble is left anywhere. Go over the edges with a thin coat of clear or of the base color, so that any gap is sealed. Spray the paint thinly and rather in several passes, as one heavy coat breaks at the edge when the mask is removed. Take the masks off while the paint is still flexible and pull them at an angle back over themselves. Apply and spray the inner masks before you glue the canopy onto the fuselage.
This is an accessory for painting, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Before buying, check that the set matches the kit you are building.
