Big Ed from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is a package of several photo-etched and masking sets for the plastic kit of the torpedo bomber Douglas TBD-1 Devastator in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft but a group of aftermarket add-ons. It brings together in one package several sets that are also sold separately.
The Douglas TBD-1 Devastator was an American carrier torpedo bomber that at the end of the 1930s was among the most modern machines of its kind. It went into action in the opening battles of the war in the Pacific, where it suffered heavy losses. Today it is a prized historical subject.
For modelers who want to raise the detail of the interior and the exterior of their Devastator kit. The color photo-etched parts are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and it is best to prepare the bends in a photo-etch bending tool.
These are add-ons for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
