A set in 1:32 scale with ground personnel, a Firestreak guided missile and a transport trolley. Suitable for a scene with a British fighter aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
Firestreak is a British infrared-guided air-to-air missile, introduced at the end of the 1950s. British fighter machines of the time carried it, among others the Lightning, the Sea Vixen and the Javelin. The missiles were brought to an aircraft on a low transport trolley and hung with the help of a lift, so at every take-off the work of the ground personnel was as visible as the aircraft itself.
The set brings together figures of ground personnel, a Firestreak missile and a transport trolley, that is everything needed for a scene of an aircraft being prepared for flight. The exact make-up of the package and the number of parts are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut off the excess material with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder with fine abrasive paper, proceeding especially carefully with the small parts of the trolley. Wash everything in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let it dry off. Cyanoacrylate glue suits the joining of the parts. Give the figures a base coat and then set the flat colors going with a wash into the folds and with a dry brush along the edges; leave the missile smooth and clean instead, so that the contrast between the hardware and the people stands out.
The set suits builders of large aircraft scales who do not want their model to be alone on a base. With the trolley and the missile an action arises even on a small area; a piece of surface beside the aircraft is enough.
The model of the aircraft, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
