This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter brings the American F-100D Super Sabre supersonic fighter-bomber in the large 1:32 scale. It is a new mold with generous contents: the plastic parts are supplemented with photo-etched parts, rubber tires and metal landing gear legs. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The F-100D was a single-seat fighter-bomber and the most widespread version of the Super Sabre family. The D version received a larger wing with flaps, a system for low-altitude bombing and extended avionics. The aircraft left its mark on the service of the US Air Force, including the fighting over Vietnam, where it filled the strike role.
Build and paint the engine section and the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and the plastic with thin modeling cement. Apply a primer before painting, spray the large areas with an airbrush, and gloss varnish under the decals will make sure the markings settle cleanly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
