Eduard masks F-104G/S 1:32 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for the model of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter. It gives sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:32 scale is meant for the plastic model of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter fighter in the G and S versions. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is a single-engined supersonic fighter and interceptor of the 1950s. Its recognition feature is the extraordinarily thin, short straight wings with sharp leading edges. The G version was multirole and was operated under license by a number of European air forces, while the S version came about as an Italian modernization with modified armament and avionics. The machine reached high speeds and rates of climb.
Degrease the glazing of the canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing, lay them on the frame of the windscreen and of the hinged section of the canopy and press them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle so that the fresh layer is not damaged.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
