Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the F-35A Lightning II fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit and not a part of a model but an aid for painting: shaped masks that cover the clear surfaces while spraying and leave the paint only where it belongs. The TFace designation in the name states that the set is prepared for masking the glazing from both sides.
In the large scale the inside of the canopy is clearly visible. A frame painted only from the outside looks like bare transparent plastic from the inside, and when you look into the cockpit that is the first thing that catches the eye. A set with inner as well as outer shapes lets you spray the frame for both views while the clear surface stays untouched.
Lift the masks off the sheet with the tip of a scalpel or with fine tweezers, so that they do not crease. Lay them on a dry, degreased part, press them down with a toothpick and above all push the edges home. It is precisely under an edge that has not been pushed down that paint most often creeps. On large parts, stick the mask from the center toward the edges, so that no air is trapped under it. Spray in several thin coats; one dense coat lifts the edge of the mask more than three fine ones. Take the mask off as soon as the paint becomes tacky, and by pulling at an angle along the edge, not straight upward.
The package contains the masks only. The paints, thinner and the model itself are not part of it.
