1:32 F-4E Phantom II Nat. Insignias is a Dead Design masking set for sprayed national insignia. The insignia are applied in paint straight onto the model, not as a decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set does not deal with the cabin or the landing gear - it concerns the national insignia exclusively. You stick the mask onto sprayed and dried paint, overspray it with the shades needed, and after it is taken off the insignia remains straight in the paint, without a carrier film.
In 1:32 scale the national insignia on the fuselage and the wings have respectable dimensions, and a decal of that size is always a risk: it settles badly, on curved surfaces it makes folds, and across engraved lines or riveting air bubbles easily form, which later show as a silvery coating. A sprayed insignia behaves as a part of the paint - it follows the shape of the part, it does not shrink at the edges and it needs no glossy base under it.
Let the base paint cure thoroughly, otherwise the mask will pull it off while being removed. Apply the coats of color one after another starting from the lightest and always let them dry in between. Watch the precise setting of the parts of the mask, because with a multicolored insignia a shift of a tenth of a millimeter shows. Spray thinly and preferably in several goes; a thick coat creates a step on the outline of the insignia that will not disappear even under a flat clear coat. A great advantage is that weathering, rubbing through of the paint and a final evening out of the surface can be carried over finished insignia without worry.
