A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard meant for detailing the outer surface of a model of the Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet carrier-based fighter in 1:32 scale. The thin metal parts replace and supplement the features on the surface of the airframe that injection-molded plastic cannot capture finely enough. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit.
The set refines the exterior of a model, for example fine covers, grilles, panels, sensors and other small outer features. The result is a truer and more three-dimensional surface on a modern jet aircraft, which stands out after painting.
The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is an American single-seat carrier-based multirole aircraft able to carry out fighter as well as attack duties. It serves with the US Navy as the backbone of its carrier aviation and grew out of the smaller F/A-18 Hornet, its predecessor.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade, form the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a glue for etching. Degrease the surface before gluing, and once a base coat has been applied paint the parts together with the model.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
