The masking set F4U-1A Corsair 1:32 for a plastic model of the carrier-based fighter. The masks have a ready-made shape and are stuck straight onto the clear part, so the tedious cutting from masking tape is avoided.

This is a set of masking templates for a plastic model of the Vought F4U-1A Corsair fighter, not a kit. The masks are stuck onto the cockpit glazing and protect its transparent areas while you spray the canopy frames and the surrounding parts with paint. The set is cut for the Tamiya 60325 kit and its marking variant B, so the shapes settle onto the parts of that particular model.
The F4U-1A is a production sub-version of the carrier-based Corsair fighter with the characteristic inverted gull wing. Against the earliest batch it received a raised canopy and a higher-set pilot's seat, which improved the view forward when landing on a deck. The shape of the glazing is therefore a recognition feature impossible to overlook on a model at the large 1:32 scale.
First degrease the clear part and let it dry out thoroughly. Lift the individual masks off with tweezers, lay them on the glass and press them down with a soft toothpick or a wooden stick, so that the edges settle without bubbles. Apply the paint in thin coats; let the first coat be on the light side, as it seals any microscopic gaps at the edge and the further coats then cover without the risk of seepage. Lift the mask off with tweezers at a sharp angle as soon as the paint has set, not only once it has fully cured.
The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
