A pre-colored 3D-printed interior accessory from Quinta Studio in 1:32 scale. This is not an aircraft kit but a finishing set: raised 3D decals on decal backing paper with which you give the cockpit of the two-seat McDonnell Douglas F/A-18D Hornet (early version) realistic color and depth.
The parts are printed from several layers, so they have real relief and are not flat like ordinary decals. They replace or cover the instrument panels, the side consoles, the seats and other elements of both crew stations; the colors and the instrument markings are printed at the factory.
The set is applied in much the same way as decals: the part is released in water and transferred onto a degreased plastic surface, and with the more raised elements a spot of cyanoacrylate helps to hold it in place. A clean surface and patient seating of the more complicated parts are what matter. A decal softener, however, does not belong here, as it would attack this printed resin surface.
This is an interior accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
