A set of firewoman figures in 1:32 scale from the brand Black Dog. It brings a theme the manufacturer offers by individual poses too, under the numbers one and two, together into a single item - anyone planning a whole scene gets it all at once.
The main benefit lies in the uniform stylization. Figures from one set share the conception of the proportions and of the surface, so they hold together better side by side than figures gathered from various sources. With a rescue theme that goes double, because the clothing is similar on all the figures and any difference in the working would be visible at first glance.
Start with the hardware and look for a place for the figures only then - the vehicle sets the axis of the scene and the figures round it out. The surface follows, ideally a simple and lighter one, so that the figures stand out. Add the details sparingly: two or three bold small things say more than an area filled with equipment. At the end check whether a clear view of the hardware has arisen between the figures; when the figures shade one another, the scene reads worse and the main model gets lost. Placing one figure slightly to one side of the group has proved itself too; the scene gains an edge from that and does not come across as a cluster in the middle of the base.
