Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 fighter in the early production version, in the large 1:32 scale. It is a Hobby 2000 edition that brings good plastic together with decals and a set of painting masks, so the model can be finished cleanly straight from the box.
The Fw 190D-9, nicknamed Dora, was one of the most important Luftwaffe fighters in the final phase of the war. Unlike the earlier versions with a radial engine it received an inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213, which improved performance at higher altitudes. The lengthened nose and rear fuselage gave the machine its characteristic silhouette.
The large scale invites detailed work on the cockpit and the engine bay; paint them before you close the fuselage. Use thin cement for plastic and a primer before the finish. The masks supplied make the glazing and the canopy framing easier. Late-war German schemes are rewarding for an airbrush and gentle shading.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
