A set of decals and painting masks in 1:32 scale for the Fokker E.V and D.VII machines in Polish service. An accessory for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fokker E.V is a single-seat high-wing machine with its wing carried above the fuselage and with a rotary engine, while the Fokker D.VII is a biplane with an inline engine. Both types came about at the close of the First World War and after 1918 appeared in other air forces as well. The set is devoted to their guise in Polish service, where the machines tended to be re-marked and given striking national insignia.
The package combines a decal sheet carrying the markings with painting masks for the same schemes. The masks serve to cover the areas that are sprayed with paint, the decals to apply the finer items. How many machines and what amount of additional marking the set covers is specified in the instructions supplied with it.
Stick the masks onto a clean, degreased surface before spraying, press the edges down carefully and apply the paint in thin layers, so that it does not creep under them. Take them off shortly after the paint has dried. The decals come onto smooth gloss varnish: cut the item out close to the printing, immerse it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the model. Before you dip the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version: a self-adhesive film that has been dipped is ruined.
For modelers of First World War aircraft in the large 1:32 scale who want their national insignia sharp and without visible decal edges.
The package holds decals and masks. The kit, the paints and the varnishes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
