Fw 190F-8 3D-printed color interior 1:32 (Quinta Studio) is a set of three-dimensional decals on a backing paper that brings realistic instrument detail into the cockpit without photo-etched parts and painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of color 3D-printed decals for the cockpit of the Fw 190F-8 in 1:32 scale from Quinta Studio. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for Fw 190F-8 models in this scale. The detail is printed in a thick raised layer on a decal film on backing paper and once in place it looks three-dimensional and convincing.
The Fw 190F-8 was the ground-attack version of the German Fw 190 fighter with a BMW 801 radial engine, adapted for supporting ground forces and carrying bombs. It was deployed in the later phase of the Second World War. The cockpit follows the well-known fighter cockpit of the Fw 190 and is a prominent part of a model.
The parts have no adhesive layer of their own: the part is cut from the sheet, dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the decal backing paper into place. Sand the surface of the kit smooth beforehand and go over it with a gloss coat (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); it is precisely on a gloss coat that the part holds, and on intricate places a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. The set usually brings the instrument panel, the side consoles, the belts and placards.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
