Glazing masks for the long-nosed Dora in 1:32 scale. They deal with the thick armored windscreen and the inside of the canopy as well.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 received an inverted V12 Jumo 213 in place of the radial engine, and with it a nose about a meter longer. It earned the nickname Dora among its pilots at once, and respect among Allied crews in the autumn of 1944: at higher altitudes it finally matched opponents that the earlier forms could only keep up with near the ground.
At the front this type carries laminated bulletproof glass several centimeters thick, set in a sloping frame, and behind the pilot's head another armored plate. On the model that layer shows by being markedly thicker than the glazing around it, and its edge invites masking by eye. That is where the most common mistake arises, because the frame of the armored glass is wider than on the other panels and an asymmetrical line gives it away at once. A pre-cut shape holds that width along its whole length.
Masking for both faces of the clear parts is included, that is the surface and the reverse. The set belongs to the manufacturer's most basic version, so it is limited entirely to the glazing. Do not look in it for crosses, numbers or other markings of the machine; those are obtained separately.
The starting model is Revell in 1:32 scale. The blown cockpit canopy differs between competing kits more than any other part, so try the mask before peeling the backing off and watch whether it seats even where the curvature is greatest.
