A resin set of figures in 1:32 depicting a crew of Imperial German naval aviation of the First World War period. The castings are supplied unassembled and unpainted and serve as an accessory to large models of floatplanes or for a diorama of a coastal base. These are not finished painted figures.
Imperial German naval aviation flew from coastal bases and its machines tended to be one- to two-seat floatplanes. The crew was made up of a pilot and, according to the type, an observer as well, who saw to navigation over the sea, the communications link and the working of the equipment. The work took place in open cockpits over cold water, which the kit of leather, canvas and a warm lining matched.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the remains of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand the surfaces wet and with protection for your airways. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Always settle the figures into the cockpit dry while the fuselage of the model is open; with seated figures the angle of the legs often needs fine-tuning. After the primer, paint with a brush, telling the leather and canvas parts apart by shade and degree of sheen.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
