Injection-molded plastic kit of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc Trop in 1:32 scale from FLY, a short-run kit with resin and photo-etched parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc fighter in tropical trim in 1:32 scale from FLY. It is a short-run kit which, besides the plastic parts, contains according to the manufacturer resin parts, a photo-etched fret, a clear canopy and decals for several marking options. The box also includes parts for the tropical filter, so the desert version can be built.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter which, together with the Spitfire, carried the main weight of the Battle of Britain. The Mk.IIc version was armed with four 20 mm Hispano cannons and became a versatile fighter and attack aircraft. The tropical modification (Trop) added a prominent dust filter under the nose, which protected the engine in the conditions of North Africa and the Mediterranean. Hurricanes in this form served on a number of fronts far from the home islands.
As with any short-run kit, count on more careful cleaning up and test fitting of the parts. Use thin cement for plastic; glue the resin and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks, and protect your airways when sanding. Finish the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up. Apply a primer before painting and spray the paints with an airbrush; on desert schemes a fine patina of dust and wear shows to advantage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
