A set of self-adhesive masks intended for spraying the markings onto a model of the Hawker Tempest Mk.VI fighter in 1:32 scale. Unlike the roundel set, it concentrates on insignia such as code letters, numbers and lettering. The package contains neither the model nor the paints: it is a working aid thanks to which the markings are sprayed rather than applied. The masks are cut for the Special Hobby kit.
The Tempest Mk.VI closed the line of development of the British Hawker Tempest fighter. It was a capable piston machine of the end of the Second World War whose last version served mainly after the war and was adapted for operation in warmer regions. The markings of individual machines consisted of a combination of the squadron code, an individual letter and a serial number, whose appearance differed from machine to machine and from period to period.
The surface must be smooth and fully dry. Transfer the mask, press it down with a stick and seal the edges thoroughly so that no bead forms at the edge. Spray perpendicularly and in thin coats. With letters and numerals do not forget to transfer the inner islands as well, that is, the small areas inside closed shapes, because without them you will get solid letters. Take the mask off soon after the paint has set, pulling at an acute angle. Before you start, check against reference which markings your particular machine actually carried.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Check before you buy that the masks match your kit.
