An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polikarpov I-16 type 28 in 1:32 scale from ICM — a Soviet fighter of the 1930s and 1940s.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 fighter in the type 28 version in 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The model captures the later, more heavily armed variant of this small fighter with its characteristic retractable landing gear and radial engine. The exact contents of the package and the number of decal schemes are not stated here.
The Polikarpov I-16 was one of the first production fighters to combine retractable landing gear with a cantilever low wing. It was powered by a radial engine and was notable for its very short, stubby fuselage. The type 28 version belonged to the later modifications with strengthened armament including cannons, and it was committed during the opening fighting on the Eastern Front.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue clean joints with liquid cement for plastic. Paint and highlight the cockpit interior and the engine section before closing up the fuselage. Apply a gloss coat before the decals; complete the typical Soviet schemes with a panel-line wash and light wear applied with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
