Eduard J2M3 Raiden masks 1:32 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi J2M Raiden interceptor. It gives crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:32 scale is intended for a plastic model of the Japanese Mitsubishi J2M Raiden interceptor fighter in the J2M3 version. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without tediously cutting tape by hand.
The Mitsubishi J2M Raiden is a Japanese interceptor fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service, known to the Allies by the code name Jack. Unlike the agile carrier-based fighters it was designed as a fast-climbing interceptor for fighting bombers, with a bulky radial engine and a stocky nose. The J2M3 version carried a heavy cannon armament.
Degrease the glazing of the canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing, lay them on the frame of the windscreen and the sliding section and press them into the edges, filling the small cut-outs with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a shallow angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
