Instrument details of the cockpit of the Ju 87 G-2 for the large 1:32 scale. The set is printed on decal paper and given a relief 3D texture, so it is not glued in like a resin or photo-etched part. The procedure is the same as with an ordinary wet decal: soak it off, lay it onto the painted cockpit part, position it and let it dry. The target kit is Trumpeter.
The Ju 87 is a single-engine dive bomber with fixed landing gear and a characteristic inverted gull wing. The G version was an anti-tank conversion armed with a pair of cannons in pods under the wing. The crew was two men seated back to back under long glazing — the pilot in front, the observer and gunner behind. It is exactly that long, broken-up glazing that makes the cockpit of the Stuka the most exposed part of the model in 1:32 scale: the interior is visible along its whole length and cannot be hidden.
For modelers building the large Stuka, where practically the whole interior is visible under the glazing, and for those who want a drawn-out cockpit without working with photo-etched parts. Anyone who can handle ordinary decals will manage it.
