The canopy masks for the MiG-29 SMT in 1:32 scale from Omask are pre-cut self-adhesive masks for spraying the framing of the glazing. The set is intended for the Trumpeter kit.

The package holds neither a model nor any building parts. It is a set of self-adhesive masks that are stuck onto the transparent parts of the model and make it possible to spray the frames of the canopy without cutting tape by hand. In 1:32 scale the glazing is large and every inaccuracy in the width of a frame shows at once on a finished model, so a pre-cut mask makes the most sense here of all the scales. It is based on the dimensions of the Trumpeter kit.
First wash and dry the transparent parts, as grease from the fingers worsens the adhesion. Pick the masks out of the sheet with tweezers and set them in place. Press the edges along the frame down thoroughly with a stick, because that is exactly where the paint creeps under. On strongly curved canopies, warm the mask slightly before pressing it on and it will take the shape better. Cover the rest of the glazing with liquid mask or tape. Spray several light coats, first the shade of the interior framing of the cockpit, then the exterior camouflage. Take the mask off while the paint is dry only to the touch, and pull it slowly back toward yourself. A fine cloth dampened with water will remove any remains of adhesive.
It is a single-use masking aid, not a kit. Neither the model nor paints are included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check that it matches your own kit.
