An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Morane-Saulnier type N fighter monoplane of the First World War period in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby. It is a short-run molding complemented by resin parts and photo-etched sheet; check the exact contents of the package and the number of decal options against the instructions in the box. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Morane-Saulnier type N was one of the first true fighter aircraft: a slender shoulder-wing monoplane with a characteristic conical propeller spinner. Control was by wing warping; the aircraft was fast for its day but demanding for the pilot, especially on landing. French and British units flew it and its name is bound up with the pioneers of fighter flying. For its shape the British nicknamed it the Bullet.
With a short-run molding, reckon on deliberate cleaning up of the parts and a dry fit before gluing; bond the small resin parts with super glue and the plastic with thin modeling cement. The monoplane is braced with rigging wires, and rigging made from stretched sprue or modeling thread markedly raises the fidelity. We recommend a fine primer and an airbrush; watch out for the delicate attachment of the wing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
