A sizable injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat version of the A-10 attack aircraft in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The abbreviation N/AW stands for Night / Adverse Weather, that is, night and all-weather operation. The model captures the experimental two-seat machine with a second crew member for fighting at night and in bad weather. The large scale brings rich detail in the cockpit and on the surface. The N/AW version came about as an attempt to extend the capabilities of the single-seat A-10 to effective operation at night and in unfavorable weather. The machine had a reworked, lengthened canopy for a crew of two - the second member operated the systems for navigation and target acquisition - and enlarged vertical tail surfaces. The heavy armor, the pair of rear-mounted engines and the characteristic rotary cannon were all retained. The aircraft remained at the prototype stage and did not enter series production, because the customer gave preference to other solutions.
In the large 1:32 scale, first paint and highlight the two-seat cockpit and the ejection seats, and only then close the fuselage up. Glue the glazing of the canopy with canopy glue and protect it with masks. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a gloss varnish before the decals and bring out the panel lines with a wash. Fit the underwing stores only after painting. Complement the darker schemes for night operation with restrained wear.
