An injection-molded plastic kit of the American scout and observation aircraft Vought OS2U Kingfisher in 1:32 scale from Kitty Hawk. The set offers a well-worked front and rear cockpit and a detailed engine that can be shown with the cowling open. The model can be built with the central float or with a conventional wheeled landing gear. A decal sheet is included. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The OS2U Kingfisher was an American two-seat observation aircraft of the Second World War. It served above all as a catapult-launched scout aboard battleships and cruisers and also proved useful in rescuing downed airmen at sea. Thanks to its interchangeable undercarriage it could operate from water as well as from land.
We recommend painting and fitting the cockpits and the engine before closing the fuselage. Use liquid cement on the plastic and glue the clear canopy parts with adhesive for clear plastics. Apply a primer before painting and work with an airbrush. Decide in advance whether you are building the float or the wheeled version.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
