An injection-molded plastic kit of the OV-10D Bronco observation and light attack aircraft in 1:32 scale from Kitty Hawk. The model boasts a richly detailed front and rear cockpit, ejection seats with photo-etched harnesses, entry doors that can be opened and a photo-etched fret for the intakes and other small parts. Ballast for under the cockpit floor for correct balance is included as well. The decals cover several machines. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The OV-10 Bronco was a two-seat twin-boom turboprop aircraft designed for forward air control, observation and light attack support. The OV-10D version was the night observation and attack variant with improved sensors. The Bronco stood out for its short take-off, the good view from the cockpit and its ability to operate from improvised strips.
This is a more demanding kit - finish and paint the cockpit and the interior before closing the fuselage. Use liquid cement on the plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; washes and dry shading will bring out the broken-up surface. Go through the instructions before the build, as the sequences of steps are extensive.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
