A set of painting masks for the P-38 Lightning in 1:32 from Eduard. It is a modeling accessory for masking the canopy glazing and the wheels, not the model itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely cut painting masks from Eduard in 1:32, made for the P-38 Lightning type. The masks are of thin kabuki paper with a low-tack adhesive; they follow the shape of the framing of the canopy and of the other glazed areas, and on aircraft sets usually the wheel hubs as well. It is neither a kit nor parts of a model but an accessory obtained separately alongside the base model.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter of the Second World War with its characteristic pair of tail booms and a central nacelle carrying the cockpit and the armament. It excelled in range, in speed and in heavy concentrated armament in the nose. It was used with success above all in the Pacific.
Peel the mask carefully off the backing, lay it on the clean glazed surface and press it down. Fill the straight gaps between the frames with a strip of masking tape or with liquid mask. Then spray the shade of the frame, let it dry and remove the masks while the paint is still fresh, so that the edges stay sharp. The masks speed masking up markedly and give clean, accurate framing lines with no lengthy measuring of tape.
The masks are a modeling accessory, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
