Eduard 1:32 P-51D dashboard is a photo-etched instrument panel set for the Mustang fighter. It is a cockpit accessory, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard focused on the instrument panel of the pilot's cabin of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:32 scale. It replaces or completes the panel from the kit with a more faithful multi-layer photo-etched version with finely rendered dials and controls. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit.
The North American P-51 Mustang was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War. The D version with its bubble canopy escorted bombers deep over the continent thanks to its great range. The Mustang's instrument panel brought the flight, engine and navigation instruments together in the clear arrangement typical of American fighters of the time.
A photo-etched instrument panel is usually multi-layered, with a backing carrying printed dial faces set behind the part with the cut-outs. The parts are separated with a knife, bent slightly where needed and glued with super glue. A colored version only has to be assembled; bare photo-etch has to be painted. Fit the panel before you close up the fuselage.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
