The Eduard 1:32 Panavia Tornado GR.4 TFace is a double-sided masking set for a model in 1:32: stencils for the outer and the inner side of the glazing. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A double-sided masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Tornado GR.4 combat aircraft in 1:32. The TFace designation means that besides stencils for the outside of the glazing, the package also holds the shapes for its inner side. It is an accessory for painting that is bought to go with a kit; a model of the aircraft is not part of it.
It is precisely in 1:32 that the difference between one-sided and double-sided masking shows most strongly. The glazing is large and genuinely transparent, and the interior behind it is modeled in such detail that everyone who picks the model up looks at it. A frame painted only from outside stays transparent on the inside and, seen from above, forms a light stripe along the whole length of the cockpit. The tandem arrangement with two seats one behind the other emphasizes that still further, because there are more segments of glazing and more frames. A double-sided set makes it possible to spray both sides, and in different shades: inside in the color of the interior, outside in the camouflage.
The inside first. Stick the inner stencils on, spray the interior shade, let it dry thoroughly and only then glue the part onto the model. Once the cockpit is closed up, the inner side of the glazing is out of reach. For gluing transparent parts choose a glue that releases no aggressive fumes; fogged glass in 1:32 cannot be saved by polishing.
The package contains masking stencils only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
