The set from the Simply range from the manufacturer HGW offers faithful quick-release fasteners rendered as wet transfers in 1:32 scale. Unlike an ordinary decal, these transfers have no carrier film, so that once dry they merge with the surface and look like a thin, three-dimensional detail. It is an accessory for superdetailing, not a model.

What the set is for

Quick-release fasteners are among the typical details of the panels and covers of real aircraft. Thanks to the technology of printing without a carrier film you get a realistic appearance in a matching thickness, which disappears into the surface on a model and does not create the glossy edge of a decal.

Use

• cut out the motif you need and dip it in water for a few seconds
• take the detail off the paper backing and place it on a cleaned, smooth surface
• press it on gently, blot the remaining water away and let it dry thoroughly
