Five masks for British Type B circular markings in 1:32 size. A two-color variant without the white ring, intended for spraying.
Responsibility details are not available.
Type B arose from an entirely practical need. From altitude the three-color circle stood out against the dark camouflage so much that it gave away a patrolling machine before it could be identified. In 1939 the British therefore left the white band out on the upper surfaces of the wings and kept only a dark blue disc with a small red center. While the colored variant stayed on the underside of the wings for recognition from the ground, from above the machines carried exactly this muted form throughout the war. The difference between the two versions tends to be the detail most often overlooked on models.
Five die-cut self-adhesive parts for spraying in 1:32 size. The set is universal, it does not belong to a single kit and machines from fighters to bombers of the corresponding size carry it unchanged. Paints are not enclosed.
A large uniform area tempts you to spray it all at once and be done. That is exactly how bleeding arises: a heavy deposit gathers at the edge of the film, wicks underneath and after removal a smudged outline is left. Proceed the other way around - lead the first pass almost dry, only as a mist that seals the edge. It dries within a minute and the further, now more generous coats then have something to lean on. Three weak deposits give a cleaner circle than one generous one and together they dry in a shorter time. With dark blue that goes double, because a saturated pigment has a tendency to run.
