This set of self-adhesive painting masks in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Art Scale makes it easier to spray the glazing frames and the other clear parts of the Kotare kit of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.Ia version (mid production batch). It is a double-sided version (express fit) that masks the canopy from the outside and from the inside, so the frame looks clean through the cockpit as well.
The masks are cut from kabuki tape and follow the shape of the cockpit frames, the windscreen and, where applicable, the wheels exactly. With them you get sharp transitions between the frame color and the clear area, without laboriously laying down strips of tape.
Degrease the clear parts first. Transfer the individual masks onto the glazing according to the numbering, press them carefully against the edges of the frames and spray in thin coats so that the paint does not creep under an edge. Stick the inner masks on before closing the cockpit.
The package contains masks only; the kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
