The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V was the most numerously produced version of this British fighter aircraft. It came into service in 1941 and served on most of the battlefronts where the Royal Air Force operated during the Second World War. It was produced in several subversions, which differed mainly in armament and in the adaptation for operation in a hot and dusty environment, so a whole range of interesting machines can be done on a model.
A set of masking elements for a model of the Spitfire Mk.V in 1:32 scale. The elements are cut precisely to shape, so the lengthy measuring out and cutting of masking tape directly on the model is done away with. The extent of the set and the kit it is prepared for is given in the manufacturer's instructions; verify it in advance, because the shape of the glazing differs from kit to kit.
The masks are stuck on before spraying, onto a clean and degreased surface. They hold best on a part you have not touched with your fingers beforehand. Press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a blunt tip, so that paint does not run under them.
For a modeler who wants sharp and straight transitions on the framing of the cabin and does not want to cut them laboriously out of tape. The package contains a masking set; a kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
