Eduard 1:32 Tornado masks is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for masking the glazing and wheels of a model of the Panavia Tornado combat aircraft. It is not a model but an accessory for clean painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Czech maker Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks in Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Panavia Tornado in 1:32 scale. It is neither a kit nor a finished model, but an accessory that makes masking for spraying paint easier and more accurate.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the two-seat canopy and onto the wheel discs, so that after spraying the clear parts stay clear and the tires stay free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts well to curved shapes, holds tight and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off. The canopy frames come out crisp and straight as a result, without cutting tape by hand.
The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engined combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed in a collaboration between the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy. It served in versions for ground attack and for air combat and was among the mainstay machines of European air forces from the late 1970s. The two-man crew sits in tandem.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
