Quinta Studio 1:32 Tornado ECR, a 3D interior on decal paper is an accessory for a plastic kit: pre-colored 3D cockpit details printed on decal paper, together with 3D-printed resin parts. The set is intended for the Italeri kit.

This is not an aircraft kit but a detail set. It brings pre-colored, three-dimensionally shaped interior details printed on decal paper, which are applied directly onto the cockpit parts of a plastic model. The result is an instrument panel and side panels with crisp lettering and a depth that hand painting reaches only with difficulty in this scale. According to the name, the box also contains 3D-printed resin parts. The small version marked in the name distinguishes this set from the full variant; the exact extent of the contents is stated on the box.
The molded-in details on the plastic cockpit parts, that is, the instrument panels, the side consoles and the panels, are first leveled and sanded smooth. The area is degreased, sprayed with a dark base and coated with gloss varnish, because the element has no adhesive layer of its own and holds precisely on that gloss layer. The 3D decal is then soaked in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds, slid off the backing paper and settled onto the prepared spot. The layer is noticeably thicker than on an ordinary decal, so it has to be handled more slowly and pressed down gradually with a cotton swab so that it beds down over its whole area.
Do not use decal softeners on these elements at all; their chemistry attacks the printed resin and destroys the element. Use lukewarm water and, on broken-up surfaces, hold the element down with a drop of cyanoacrylate. Wash the resin parts free of uncured resin residue before gluing and glue them with cyanoacrylate, as polystyrene cement does not hold on them. At the end, a light matte varnish is enough to even out the sheen and fix the edges. The set is cut for the Italeri kit, so check that you have the matching model before buying.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base Italeri kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
