A detail set from Quinta Studio for upgrading the interior of a model of the Panavia Tornado IDS combat aircraft in its Italian form, in 1:32 scale. It is NOT a model of an aircraft but a set of color 3D-printed details carried on backing paper (they are applied in much the same way as decals), completed by 3D-printed resin parts. The set renders the instrument panels, the side consoles and other features of the cockpit realistically without the need for laborious hand painting.
The Panavia Tornado IDS is the strike version of the supersonic combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed by an international consortium. The Italian form has its own specific cockpit equipment, and that is what this set is aimed at.
The color 3D parts are applied by the decal technique: dip the part briefly in lukewarm water and, once it releases from the paper, transfer it to the model. Leave out decal softeners such as Micro Sol, because they would attack the printed resin. Wash the resin parts, separate them from the print supports and bond them with super glue. The pre-colored panels speed up the build and raise the realism of the cockpit.
This is an accessory set of interior details, not a model of an aircraft. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
