1:32 USAF Seat Stencils from AIMS is a small sheet of technical stencils for the seats and escape seats of American aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small specialized sheet that deals with a single detail, namely the technical stencils, warning labels and markings on seats. In 1:32 scale a cockpit is large enough for a bare seat to catch the eye, and a sheet like this is exactly what wipes that difference out. Small things like these, after all, make the difference between a decent and a convincing interior.
On the real machine the stencils warn against armed escape systems, show the places for safety pins and mark the attachment points of the harnesses. On a model they fill a different role, giving a sense of scale and a contrast of color to the otherwise monotonous space of a cockpit. They are worth using even where the cockpit will finally be closed under glazing, because more is visible through a clear part than a modeler expects. The name states that the lower block of stencils belongs solely on the seats of bombers. In bombers the seats were laid out differently from those in fighters, and that was reflected in the extent and the placing of the stencils.
Paint the seat first and clear-coat it to a gloss, and only then transfer the stencils. They are small, so have sharp tweezers and a damp brush ready. Once dry, matte it down and, if you wish, add fine wear to the edges. Small elements fly off easily, so spread a light cloth over the bench and do not hurry.
The sheet holds only the stencils; a seat and a cockpit are not supplied.
