Eduard 1:32 Yak-9K seatbelts STEEL is a color photo-etched set of steel seat belts for models of the Yak-9K fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a color photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, specifically seat belts made from thin steel sheet. It is not a standalone model but an upgrade accessory for the cockpit of a model of the Soviet Yak-9K fighter in 1:32 scale. The parts are factory painted and, thanks to the steel, hold a bent shape excellently, so they convincingly imitate the sag and the natural waviness of fabric webbing.
The Yak-9K was a heavily armed version of the proven Soviet Yak-9 fighter of the Second World War. It was marked by a massive large-caliber cannon built into the engine and firing through the propeller hub, which served against both ground and air targets. It was of mixed wood and metal construction with excellent handling at low and medium altitudes.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife and form them with tweezers or a photo-etch bender. They are best bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) applied in a minimal amount. The painted belts no longer need to be overpainted; any buckles can simply be picked out lightly with drybrushing. Degrease the surfaces of the cockpit before gluing.
An accessory for detailing a model. This is not an aircraft kit; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
