A set of colored self-adhesive 3D decals in 1:48 scale from the maker Kelik intended for detailing the cockpit of a model of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet carrier-based multirole fighter. The raised instrument panels, multifunction displays and side consoles are printed on a flexible film and are applied like a decal. It is not photo-etch and not resin. The decals are shaped for the Hasegawa kit.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a carrier-based multirole fighter and attack aircraft which serves with the US Navy and the US Marine Corps and with a number of other operators. The C version is single-seat and handles both air combat and attacks on ground targets. A modern cockpit with displays is characteristic of this type.
Remove the molded detail from the plastic cockpit parts so that the mating surfaces are smooth. Then transfer the 3D decals with tweezers and fix them, if need be with a drop of decal glue or thin PVA glue. The colored displays come out well under matte or gloss varnish as required.
This is an interior accessory, not an aircraft model. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
